Dolphin & Nature Boat Tour

$340, cash only

Up to six people can be accommodated on this boat tour.

Southwest Florida has one of the largest bottlenose dolphin populations in the world. Their brain-to-body mass is second only to humans, which contributes to their incredibly high emotional intelligence.

On this boat tour, we will cruise out to Charlotte Harbour, view Boca Grande Pass, and glide through the marina at Useppa Island (home to the great Calusa Indians 10,000 years ago), all the while looking for dolphins, who love to ride in the wake of our boats. Manatees are also present in our waters during the months of November through April, and we will take you to Manatee Cove on the east side of Cayo Costa in Pelican Bay to look for these endearing sea cows. Birds and jumping mullet fish are plentiful.

Departure: Tarpon Lodge, 13771 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia, FL 33922

Burial at Sea (Scattering of Ashes) Boat Tour

$340, cash only

Burial at sea is a memorial tradition dating back thousands of years, and is a wonderful alternative or addition to a funeral. During this difficult time, ash scattering at sea can be a beautiful way to send your loved one on their next journey. With up to six people, we take a two-hour leisurely cruise out to Charlotte Harbour through Jug Creek—a place where it is not uncommon for the bottlenose dolphin to join us and there are always pelican and osprey flying nearby. The abundance of wildlife and nature gives family and friends an opportunity to be in a peaceful, natural environment.

We ask that you bring flowers to release into the water after the scattering of your loved one’s ashes. In this way, we can see which way the current is moving. We traditionally do a circle of life around the flowers and give you the coordinates.

Departure: Tarpon Lodge, 13771 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia, FL. 3392

Please note: If you prefer to be picked up on North Captiva or Boca Grande, there is a $50.00 surcharge.
