Captain Cathy Eagle Boat Tours
If you’re visiting (or living in) southwest Florida, spend part of your day with Captain Cathy Eagle—a local area expert. Captain Cathy provides short, one-hour tours up to half-day tours for up to six people. Choose a tour below and check out online, or contact us with questions.
Dolphin & Nature Boat Tour
$390, cash only
up to six people
Captain Cathy is known as the Dolphin Whisperer of Pine Island Sound (just check out her reviews!), and SWFL has one of the largest bottlenose dolphin populations in the world. Their brain-to-body mass is second only to humans, contributing to their incredibly high emotional intelligence. Their emotional capacity, coupled with having captained the waters for decades, Capt Cathy has created quite the relationship with them.
On this boat tour we will cruise through Pine Island Sound and glide through the marina at Useppa Island (home to the great Calusa Indians 10,000 years ago), all the while looking for dolphins, who love to ride in the wake of Captain Cathy’s boat (check out her reviews!).
Manatee are also present in our waters during the months of November through April, and we will take you to the Manatee Cove on the east side of Cayo Costa in Pelican Bay to look for these endearing sea cows.
Birds and jumping mullet fish are plentiful, and Captain Cathy has a deep familiarity with her environment — the tides, wildlife patterns, bird migrations, and all the natural rhythms that make an eco tour engaging and informative.
Departure: Tarpon Lodge, 13771 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia, FL 33922
Dolphin & Nature Boat Tour – with Cabbage Key Experience
$450, cash only
up to six people
This 3.5 hour tour includes all of the above, plus a stop at Cabbage Key for your party to have lunch and see the island. Cabbage Key is a living slice of Old Florida — quiet, wild, and largely untouched — with a mix of natural beauty, rich history, & great food!
The restaurant is best known for its claim as the inspiration for Jimmy Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” but Captain Cathy’s favorite is the mahi mahi over black beans & rice with a side of their house garlic aioli!
Lunch is not included in the price.
Picnic Option: Instead of stopping at Cabbage Key, we will stop at Pelican Bay, located on the east side of Cayo Costa, where you can enjoy your time on the beach with your own lunch.
Departure: Tarpon Lodge, 13771 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia, FL. 33922

Burial at Sea (Scattering of Ashes)
$390, cash only
up to six people
Often, we think of an ash scattering at sea as a loved one’s final resting place. I like to remind families that this is not an ending — it’s a beginning. Through the tides, currents, winds, and storms, your loved one begins a beautiful journey, carried throughout the world by the sea.
It’s not uncommon for dolphins, manatees, and shorebirds to appear during these moments, as if nature itself has come to offer a quiet farewell. I’m honored to offer a poem or prayer, and often a song, though you are always welcome to create a ceremony that feels most meaningful to you.
I ask that families bring flowers to release into the water along with the ashes. As the flowers drift with the tides and currents, they offer a visual reminder of the journey continuing onward. I will complete a gentle circle of life around the flowers and provide you with the GPS coordinates, so you may revisit this sacred place anytime through Google Earth.
