A Colorful Waterfront Town
No stop lights and a single two-lane road lined with informal seafood restaurants, galleries, marinas, and launches for saltwater fishing and kayaking. Filled with art and nature, Matlacha’s mainstreet is only three blocks long. A colorful small town just west of Fort Myers, Matlacha Island boasts approximately 750 homes while Matlacha Isles and Matlacha Shores add another 350 homes. Pronounced Matt-la-shay, the name means chin-deep water or knee-deep water depending upon the tide. This area is a collection of homegrown shops, galleries, fish markets, parks, and residences—just miles from the cities of Cape Coral and Fort Myers and the Southwest Florida International Airport.
Captain Cathy Eagle Madigan—Your Neighbor, Your Friend, Your Realtor
My parents settled on Matlacha Island in 1978. I moved here with my young family in 1979 and have personally witnessedthe growth and prosperity. Having raised a family here, I have been involved: my son represents Cape Coral in the State House of Representatives and my four daughters are just as successful in their own careers. My children grew up learning to swim on Matlacha Island and learned to ride bikes on Clyde Street. I want to represent you because I know these waters and this community.
A REALTOR® You Can Trust
Who would you trust to sell your home or to sell you a home? I would trust someone who knows the waterfront community I am hoping to make my home. Someone who knows how long it will take to get to Charlotte Harbour on my boat; how long to get to Boca Grande Pass, Cabbage Key, North Captiva, or Cayo Costa. It’s that type of knowledge that shows a true intimacy with a community.
I am a seasoned charter captain and licensed REALTOR® and I know this area. Let’s go out on the water and look for your dream home!
